I just got a new notebook for use with SMAART. And like most new notebooks it is lacking a stereo line level/mic input. Thus I have has to resort to an extra device.
I had shopped around a bit, and finally came across a dealer near my home that carried some of my options. The two in my last circle of selection came down to the Tascam US-122 and the Edirol UA-25 (both on special during Boxing Week). I opted for the Tascam, based on the salesman's convincing me that it is of better quality overall.
I've seen little about the Edirol UA-25 in this forum, but have recently noted the US-122 often has stutter problems. I'm hoping I didn't make a bad decision. Any comments?
