Hello Guillermo:
Smaart deals with this better than a great majority of the programs I've used. There are two levels of setup transfers one can do in Smaart, (a) measurement configurations, and (b) the entire program configuration including color choices, etc. Both are found in the File|Configuration menu. "Save As" will allow you to save (a), and "Export" will allow you to save (b). You will use "Load" or "Import" respectively in the new computer to restore these settings.
If you choose to use the (b) method, make sure your other Smaart installations are in the same logical drive letter and folder structure. If you choose a different drive letter and/or folder structure, you'll have to edit the .REG file generated by option (b) prior to importing it.
If you choose to modify the .REG file prior to importing into the new Smaart installation, I would suggest you back up the original .REG file first. By the way, I would suggest that everyone make regular backups of their Smaart .REG file whenever they make significant changes to Smaart. This will make life much nicer in case of hard disk failure, stolen laptop, etc.
The manual deals with this question and a great many other issues that will make Smaart much more enjoyable and powerful to use.
God bless you and your precious family - Langston
