Some people are difinitely happier with performance than others but it does work. With the latest of version of VPC and a fast enough Mac, it might be OK. You're just trying to do two big jobs at the same time (emulate the entire Intel Pentium chipset in software and then run Windows and SmaartLive on it) so you need a lot RAM and lot of CPU to do it very well.
